Description
A long standing high quality vegetarian restaurant. There is always something vegan on the regularly changing menu, sometimes more than others. It receives many awards and recognition, for both its toilets and food.
If a vegan was deciding whether to trek here or southwards, they'd have far more choice in Lancrigg in Grasmere, and also in the Thai restaurant in Ambleside, but the Quince and Medlar sounds a good bet if you are in the North Lakes already.

"Was not at all as good as we had been informed. Was extremely disappointed, especially due to the lack of Vegan dishes(only one) despite notifying proprietors in advance. Food was very bland and flavourless. Service was good, but food not even as described in menu. Very disappointed! "
